Carry On Jatta 4 Tuesday Box Office Collections: Gippy Grewal starrer emerges Clean Hit, grosses Rs 12 crore plus in 5 days
The Gippy Grewal starrer film is holding well on weekdays, although nowhere close to the previous two films in the franchise.
Punjabi film Carry on Jatta 4 collected Rs. 1.70 crore on its first Tuesday, registering a muted growth over Monday. The 5-day running cume of the Gippy Grewal starrer reached Rs. 12.85 crore at the Indian box office. Based on its current trends, it is looking to close its first week around the Rs. 15 crore gross mark domestically.
The film is holding well on weekdays, although nowhere close to the previous two films in the franchise. Carry On Jatta 4 has already emerged as a Clean HIT venture at the box office; however, the previous two installments were ATBBs.
Sequels, in general, seem to be falling out of fashion, or at least are no longer the surefire bets they appeared to be just a couple of years ago. Recent ones like Bambukat 2, Nikka Zaildar 4, Godday Godday Chaa 2, and others underperformed badly, while even Saunkan Saunkanay 2 could not quite live up to expectations. In that context, Carry on Jatta 4 has fared better.
