Chand Mera Dil is about to hit the big screens in a couple of hours. The Lakshya and Ananya Panday starrer romantic drama, directed by Vivek Soni, recorded decent pre-sales at the box office. The movie sold around 27,000 tickets in the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis, for the opening day. That's a pretty reasonable advance for the cast and cost involved.
Bankrolled by Dharma Productions, Chand Mera Dil is looking for an opening day of Rs. 4 crore to 6 crore nett at the Indian box office. The romantic drama should aim for a positive reception among audiences and translate that into footfalls. It will have a clean run of around two weeks before facing Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Bandar on June 5, which should be enough for its recoveries.
The pricing is one big factor that is driving the sales. For the unversed, the makers of Chand Mera Dil have introduced affordable ticket prices for its opening day. The tickets for all shows before 5 PM on Friday (May 22, 2026) are priced at just Rs. 149, while shows after 5 PM are priced at Rs. 199. This could be the right strategy to draw the audience to the screen for a relatively small-budget film.
