Cocktail 2 Box Office: Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna starrer adds Rs 4.50 crore in Week 3, nets Rs 84 crore in 21 days
The Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna starrer is looking to wind up its entire box office run around Rs. 85-86 crore nett in India.
Cocktail 2, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead, has almost exhausted its theatrical run. The romantic drama added Rs. 4.50 crore to the tally in its Week 3, which is around 70 per cent down from the previous week.
Directed by Homi Adajania, the romantic drama took its 21-day theatrical run to Rs. 84.25 crore nett at the Indian box office. The movie is now running on its last legs, with it losing almost all screens to this week's new release, Dhamaal 4. Based on current trends, Cocktail 2 is expected to wind up its entire box office journey at Rs. 85-86 crore nett at the Indian box office.
Bankrolled by Maddock Films, Cocktail 2 performed pretty well compared to recent rom-coms, on face value. However, its numbers (not collections) should be taken with an asterisk, as it was aided by external factors. The real collections would be on the same level as Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Pati Patni Aur Woh Do. That said, the box office verdict of all three films is also the same, i.e., FLOP.
