Cocktail 2 Box Office: Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna starrer drops by 25 per cent on 2nd Wednesday, nears Rs 80 crore mark
Cocktail 2 recorded another drop on second Wednesday. The movie is looking for an end around Rs. 85-90 crore nett at the Indian box office.
Cocktail 2, directed by Homi Adajania, collected Rs. 1.15 crore on its second Wednesday. The movie recorded a 25 per cent drop from the previous day, taking the 6-day second week's cume to Rs. 15.30 crore. The movie is expected to add Rs. 0.90-1 crore on its second Thursday and close this week at Rs. 16.30 crore or so.
The romantic drama took its running cume to Rs. 79.30 crore nett at the Indian box office. It will surpass Rs. 80 crore by EOD and then will march towards its final target. Based on current trends, Cocktail 2 is expected to close its entire run around the Rs. 85-90 crore mark, depending on how it holds against Alpha and Dhamaal 4.
That said, the Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer will end up being a flop even after outside factors aid its theatrical run. For the unversed, the original film was released in 2012, and it collected around Rs. 74.50 crore nett and emerged as a Clean Hit venture. Though the sequel has crossed this figure on the face value, it will end up much lower if the OG collections are adjusted for inflation.
