Deool Band 2 Box Office Collections: Pravin Tarde & Mohan Joshi's film fetches nearly Rs 55 crore in 11 days, adds TERRIFIC Rs 17 crore in 2nd Weekend
Pravin Tarde's Deool Band 2 recorded just a 10 per cent drop in its second weekend compared to the first, taking its running cume to Rs. 54.25 crore in 11 days.
Deool Band 2, directed by Pravin Tarde, showed no signs of slowing down anytime soon. The movie witnessed another 10 per cent spike on its second Sunday, adding Rs. 7 crore to the tally. This took its 3-day second weekend's cume to Rs. 17 crore gross, which is just 10 per cent down from its 4-day opening weekend of Rs. 18.50 crore. That said, the movie recorded the second biggest second weekend of all time for a Marathi film.
It stormed past the Rs. 50 crore gross mark at the domestic box office in just 11 days. That's huge for a regional film. Currently standing at Rs. 54.25 crore, the Mohan Joshi starrer is looking to close its second week around Rs. 65 crore gross.
Based on current trends, the devotional drama has the potential to overtake Raja Shivaji, Baipan Bhari Deva and Sairat in Maharashtra. Whether the movie can surpass Raja Shivaji in India as well and emerge as the new Industry Hit will be an interesting watch.
