Deool Band 2 Box Office Collections: Pravin Tarde's devotional drama records 2nd BIGGEST opening weekend, smashes Rs 18.50 crore in 3 days
Deool Band 2, directed by Pravin Tarde, recorded another impressive spike on its first Sunday, ending its opening weekend on a phenomenal note.
Deool Band 2 is enjoying a phenomenal run at the box office. The Marathi devotional drama, directed by Pravin Tarde, smashed a banger opening weekend of Rs. 18.50 crore, with its biggest day coming on Sunday (Rs. 7 crore). That makes it the second-best opening weekend for a Marathi film, only lagging behind Riteish Deshmukh's Raja Shivaji.
The Marathi film is even witnessing far better trends than Raja Shivaji in its home state, which means it has chances at even surpassing the epic saga in its full run, at least in Maharashtra. Deool Band 2 has already surpassed the lifetime cume of its previous film, which was released in cinemas in 2015.
The devotional comedy drama has set its eye on the blockbuster verdict, given how it performs on weekdays and then in the second weekend. That said, Pravin Tarde will continue his no-flop streak at the box office. With the glowing reception of the sequel, the future of this franchise seems very bright. It will be interesting to see how the movie performs on weekdays.
