Dhamaal 4 Box Office: Ajay Devgn starrer collects Rs 2.25 crore on 3rd Friday, crosses Rs 135 crore mark
The Ajay Devgn starrer comedy drama, Dhamaal 4, is looking to collect Rs. 15 crore in the second week, which will take its running cume to Rs. 150 crore mark.
Dhamaal collected Rs. 2.25 crore on its third Friday, registering a 57 per cent drop from the previous Friday. The comedy drama took its running cume to Rs. 135.75 crore nett at the Indian box office.
Directed by Indra Kumar, the movie is looking to hold well in the third week since there is no significant release. The movie is expected to collect Rs 15 crore in the third week, which will take its total cume to the Rs 150 crore mark. Based on current trends, Dhamaal 4 is heading to settle around the Rs. 160 crore mark.
Dhamaal 4 emerged as a Clean HIT film, the fourth of the year for Bollywood, after Border 2, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and Bhooth Bangla. Three of these are franchise films, while the fourth one was a quasi-Bhool Bhulaiyaa film. There was talk of franchise fatigue last year, with some franchise films failing, but it clearly isn’t the case. Even Welcome to the Jungle could have squeezed through if the competition was lax, but that is a luxury, not a given.
