Dhamaal 4 Final Advance Booking: Ajay Devgn's comedy drama sells 38,000 tickets in National Chains

Dhamaal 4 is about to hit the big screens in a couple of hours. The movie had opened advance booking on Wednesday morning, two days ahead of its release. It has sold around 38,000 tickets in the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis, for the opening day, of which 30,000 tickets were only recorded at PVR Inox while the remaining 8,000 admissions were recorded at Cinepolis. It's somewhat similar to Alpha's advance in national chains, but Dhamaal 4 has strong sales in non-national chains.

Compared to Welcome to the Jungle, the advances are better in Gujarat. Welcome holds a better franchise value in North India, while Dhamaal 4, coupled with Ajay Devgn, is better in Gujarat. Total Dhamaal was a blockbuster in the state, performing like a Rs. 250- 300 crore nett film, while the actual business was Rs. 150 crore nett.

The comedy entertainer, directed by Indra Kumar, recorded a low advance booking despite it being such a huge IP and franchise. One of the major reasons behind such low pre-sales could be the over-saturation of sequels these days. The opening day of Ajay Devgn starrer will depend on how the movie records spot bookings and walk-ins.

Based on current trends, Dhamaal 4 is expected to open in the range of Rs. 12 crore to Rs. 14 crore nett at the Indian box office. The rest depends on its word-of-mouth among the audience. If the movie manages to impress the audience with its content, it might put up a good total by the end of its full run. The movie will face significant competition from holdover releases like Welcome To The Jungle, Alpha, and Main Vaapas Aaunga
