Drishyam 3 India Opening Day Box Office Collections: Mohanlal strikes back as Georgekutty, fetches Rs 18 crore plus on Day 1
Mohanlal's latest outing, Drishyam 3, took the box office by storm. The Jeethu Joseph directorial smashed an opening of Rs. 18.40 crore at the Indian box office.
Drishyam 3 has finally hit the big screens. The much-awaited Mohanlal starrer kick-started its box office carnage with a bang. The movie grossed over Rs. 18 crore on its opening day at the Indian box office. Of this, a huge Rs. 11 crore gross came from its home state, Kerala.
The Lalettan's movie debuted in the Telugu states, setting a new benchmark for the upcoming Malayalam-Telugu dubbed movies. It recorded the biggest Day 1 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for a Malayalam film, where the threequel smashed over Rs. 2.15 crore. In Tamil Nadu, the movie collected around Rs. 1.20 crore, while the rest of the Indian markets contributed a sum of Rs. 1.30 crore.
Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the family crime drama recorded the second biggest opening day for a Malayalam film at the Indian box office. It remained only behind L2 Empuraan. Based on the current trends, Drishyam 3 will keep gaining traction and close its first weekend on a phenomenal note.

Thus, the movie has huge potential to challenge the top grossers, both domestically and worldwide- Vaazha 2, Lokah Chapter One- Chandra, Thudarum, and others.
