Drishyam 3 Worldwide Advance Booking: Mohanlal's biggest IP returns with bang, crosses Rs 25 crore in global pre-sales
Mohanlal's Drishyam 3 is all set to take a phenomenal start at the box office, thanks to its solid advance booking both in Kerala and outside.
Malayalam cinema's most popular franchise, Drishyam, returns with its third installment this weekend. The Mohanlal starrer smashed a massive advance booking at the worldwide box office, proving its insane buzz and hype among the audience.
Drishyam 3 has already smashed the Rs. 25 crore of advance sales at the global box office and is currently heading to the Rs. 27 crore mark for the opening weekend. Of this huge pre-sales, around Rs. 18-19 crore is recorded only for the opening day. The Kerala opening day pre-sales have already crossed the Rs. 6 crore mark.
With one and a half days left before the release, strong momentum is expected in advance bookings. The Mohanlal starrer is looking to smash around Rs. 35 crore or more in its final advance booking before the premiere shows. That will be one of the biggest pre-sales of all time for a Malayalam cinema, only behind L2: Empuraan.
As the mystery unfolds once again, Mohanlal reprises his role as Georgekutty, with Meena, Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil returning to their roles. Additionally, Veena Nandakumar joins the cast in a new role as a journalist determined to uncover the truth behind the case.
Written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, Drishyam 3 is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. The film’s music and background score are composed by Anil Johnson, while Satheesh Kurup and Vinayak VS handle cinematography and editing, respectively. The movie is slated to hit the big screens on May 21, 2026, in Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada.
