Gold Box Office Collection: Akshay Kumar's film is NOW a part of the 100-crore club

Akshay Kumar's Gold has finally crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark on its 13th day to become the actor's ninth film to enter the coveted club.

Directed by Reema Kagti, Gold revolves around independent India's first Olympic gold win after attaining freedom from the British rule - a feat achieved by the Indian men's hockey team in 1948 at the 14th London Olympiad. The film had an ensemble cast that includes Akshay Kumar as Tapan Das, Mouni Roy, who plays Akshay aka Tapan's wife and actors Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Kumar Singh and Sunny Kaushal as hockey players. The film started on a solid note and now has entered the 100-crore club. 
Film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to make the announcement, writing, "#Gold crosses Rs. 100 cr mark on Day 13... [Week 2] Fri 1.85 cr, Sat 3.10 cr, Sun 4.75 cr, Mon 1.45 cr. Total: Rs. 100.45 cr. India biz... Akshay Kumar's ninth film in Rs. 100 cr Club." Well, with this, Akshay has got his ninth film to be a part of the 100-crore mark. Akshay is the second Bollywood star to have max 100 crore club movies as Salman holds the top spot. As per reports, the movie is expected to collect 105 to 110 crore in its final run at BO.  
Akshay Kumar's Gold had also surpassed Salman Khan's Race 3 in terms of the first day box office occupany rate. Take a look at the list:
