Hanuman Ansh Box Office Collections: Devotional drama surprises with MIRACULOUS turnaround in 3rd Weekend, nets Rs 4.70 crore in 17 days
Hanuman Ansh did unthinkable at the box office. The movie took a miraculous turnaround in the third weekend after remaining disaster in the first two weeks.
Hanuman Ansh, based on Neem Karoli Baba, has witnessed unpredictable growth in its third weekend, after recording low occupancy in the first two weeks. Interestingly, the movie started on a very low note and collected around Rs. 85 lakh in its first week. It was released on around 200 screens in the opening week; however, the showcasing dropped in the second week to merely 40 screens. That's when it minted around Rs. 45 lakh, around 50 per cent of what it did in the first week on 5 times more screens.
Seeing its promising hold, the movie regained around 400 screens in its third week, double what it had in the opening week. Hanuman Ansh wrapped up its third weekend at a whopping Rs. 3.40 crore. That's unthinkable for a film that remained a disaster and collected just Rs. 1.30 crore in the first 14 days.
The real game changer for Hanuman Ansh was its third Sunday jump. It smashed a massive Rs. 2.40 crore yesterday and surprised the trade circles with its miraculous turnaround.
A similar trend was noticed last year with Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahaayate, which remained silent for a whole month and then became a rage at the box office. If Hanuman Ansh continues to hold strong in the coming weeks as well, it can be a potential HIT at the box office. So far, the fate of such devotional films is so unpredictable.
