Karuppu Box Office Collections: Suriya starrer grosses Rs. 171 Cr in India in 10 days with an excellent 2nd weekend
In Tamil Nadu, the second weekend amounted to Rs. 30.25 crore approx, ranking third behind Ponniyin Selvam: I and The Greatest of All Time. It was ahead of films like Leo, Jailer, Vikram and Amaran.
Karuppu collected Rs. 17.25 crore approx at the Indian box office on its 2nd Sunday, closing its second weekend with Rs. 41.50 crore approx. The drop from the first weekend was just 47 per cent, which is a very strong hold for a South Indian film headlined by a superstar. This brings its total box office collections after ten days in release to Rs. 171.25 crore.
The film is cruising towards Rs. 200 crore mark. The second week should be over Rs. 60 crore, possibly around Rs. 65 crore, with the Eid holiday to help today and Tuesday. That means it should be able to hit the double century in the third weekend.

The film has crossed Rs. 100 crore in the state, becoming the 22nd film and the first for Suriya to enter the coveted club. It stands at Rs. 112.75 crore approx and is headed for Rs. 150 crore plus in full run.
The film has performed very well in the Telugu states, grossing over Rs. 25 crore so far. Karnataka will be pitching in over Rs. 20 crore in the full run. Kerala saw a drop in the 2nd weekend due to competition from Drishyam 3, which has taken a blockbuster opening. Still, it has contributed a healthy sum.
