Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam) collected Rs. 1.20 crore on its 2nd Tuesday, registering a 30 per cent spike from the previous day. The mythological fantasy drama registered a drop of 20 per cent from the previous Tuesday, which is a good hold. However, the movie should have shown much better growth for a Clean Hit verdict.

The movie has a relatively high budget, which is not justified by its current box office trends. However, such mythological films are very hard to predict. There was Laalo Krishna Sada Sahayate last year, which did nothing for over a month and then exploded like a new sensation. There was Mahavatar Narsimha last year, which was an animated film based on two of the avatars of Lord Vishnu. That film opened to Rs. 1.25 crore nett on the first day, saw exponential growth over the weekend to Rs. 3.25 crore nett on Saturday and Rs. 6.25 crore nett on Sunday. It eventually went on to collect Rs. 170 crore nett in Hindi.

It will be interesting to see whether the Siddharth Gupta starrer can surprise in the coming weeks or not.

The Box Office Collections for Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hindi) in India are as follows:

Friday Rs. 1.05 cr.
Saturday Rs. 2.15 cr.
Sunday Rs. 3.20 cr.
Monday Rs. 1.05 cr.
Tuesday Rs. 1.55 cr.
