Main Vaapas Aaunga Box Office Collections: Imtiaz Ali's film collects Rs 16 crore in 3rd Week, nets Rs 49 crore in 21 days
Imtiaz Ali's Main Vaapas Aaunga should maintain a good momentum in the next couple of weeks, which will decide its fate at the box office.
Main Vaapas Aaunga collected Rs. 1.20 crore on its third Thursday, wrapping up its third week around Rs. 16.45 crore nett in India. Allied to its first week of Rs. 11.50 crore and second week of Rs. 21.25 crore, the three-week theatrical cume of Main Vaapas Aaunga now stands at Rs. 49.20 crore.
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the romantic drama maintained a strong hold so far, dropping by just 25 per cent in the third week from the previous week, that too, while sharing shows with Welcome To The Jungle. It now enters its fourth week today, facing another significant competitor, Alpha. The movie needs to maintain the same level of collections in the coming few weeks, in order to bag a Clean Hit verdict.
Its performance in the fourth weekend will determine whether it can hit the Rs. 65-70 crore final mark in India or not. Nevertheless, the movie has done a lot better, especially when it had an opening day of just a crore. It's not a regular case at the box office these days.
