Main Vaapas Aaunga Day 5 Box Office: Naseeruddin Shah, Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang, Sharvari’s film jumps by 50 per cent on Tuesday, nears Rs 10 crore mark
Imtiaz Ali's pre-partition romantice drama Main Vaapas Aaunga added Rs. 1.65 crore on its first discounted Tuesday, taking the cume to Rs. 8.40 crore nett in India.
Main Vaapas Aaunga, starring Naseeruddin Shah, Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari, and Vedang Raina, collected Rs. 1.65 crore nett on its first Tuesday. The movie registered a 50 per cent spike from the previous day, thanks to the discounted ticket fares.
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Main Vaapas Aaunga took its running cume to Rs. 8.40 crore nett in 5 days. It is likely to close its first week around Rs. 10 crore, which was initially supposed to be its final target, but the movie manages to show slightly better trends than what was expected based on the first two days' business.
Main Vaapas Aaunga still needs to explode among the audience for a successful run, which seems unlikely. The movie will face new releases from the coming weekend, which include Cocktail 2 and others. It will be interesting to see whether the romantic period drama can surprise in the coming weeks and put up a respectable theatrical run at the Indian box office.
