Minions & Monsters wrapped its opening weekend at Rs. 7 crore gross at the Indian box office. The comedy adventure animated drama debuted with Rs. 1.80 crore, with Rs. 55 lakh coming in previews. It further saw an upward trend and collected Rs. 2.50 crore on Day 2, followed by Rs. 2.75 crore on Day 3.
That's a good opening weekend for a Hollywood animated film in India. The animated genre doesn't have much market in India. Considering this, Minions & Monsters have performed fairly well so far.
It will be interesting to see how the movie holds on Monday and then on weekdays. The movie garnered mixed reactions among the audience, which can be concerning for its box office run ahead.
