Minions & Monsters Opening Week India Box Office: Hollywood animated film fetches Rs 9 crore in 7 days
Hollywood animated film, Minions & Monsters, wrapped up its first week on a decent note in India, collecting Rs. 9.05 crore gross.
Minions & Monsters has recorded a decent opening week at the Indian box office. Debuting with Rs. 1.80 crore, including Rs. 55 lakh in previews, the movie wrapped up its first weekend with a gross of Rs. 7.05 crore. After which it added Rs. 2 crore more to the tally from Monday to Thursday and closed its first week at Rs. 9.05 crore gross in India.
Though the movie performed well on the weekend, it struggled on weekdays. It should now aim for a big spike in the second weekend and close its second weekend with a nominal drop over the first. However, that will not be as easy as it sounds, as the movie will have multiple competitors from today onwards, including Moana.
Hollywood films are having a great run at the box office this year in India, with several non-anticipated and non-IP movies faring better than expectations and emerging as successful ventures: Project Hail Mary, Lee Cronin's The Mummy, Obsession, The Devil Weds Prada 2, Michael, and others.
However, the recent two releases, Toy Story 5 and Supergirl, couldn't continue the same momentum. All eyes are now on Minions & Monsters. Let's see if it can surprise at the Indian box office.
