Obsession India Box Office 3rd Saturday: Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette-led horror thriller continues to dominate, hits Rs 70 crore mark in 16 days
Directed by Curry Barker, Obsession is looking to make a sum of Rs. 17 crore this weekend, which will take its running cume over the Rs. 75 crore mark.
Hollywood horror thriller Obsession continues to dominate the Indian box office even in its 3rd week. The movie added Rs. 7 crore to the tally on its 3rd Saturday, witnessing a 75 per cent jump from Friday. The Saturday growth is less than what it had in the last two weeks, which was around 100 per cent, but at this level of business, it is more than acceptable. The market in general had low growth for all films yesterday; in that context, this 75 per cent growth is massive.
Directed by Curry Barker, Obsession is looking to make a sum of Rs. 18 crore this weekend, which will take its running cume over the Rs. 75 crore mark. By the end of the third week, the film should be over Rs. 85 crore, leaving it less than Rs. 15 crore away from the century mark. There will be a lot of competition in the coming weeks, but with the third week around Rs. 25 crore and the way it has held so far, it should be straightforward. That said, the movie is almost certain to hit the Rs. 100 crore mark in India.
Obsession is poised not only emerge as the highest-grossing Hollywood film of 2026 in India, surpassing Project Hail Mary, but also the highest-grossing Hollywood horror film, overtaking The Conjuring: Last Rites.
