Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrette starrer Obsession, directed by Curry Barker, began its box office journey on a phenomenal note in India.
Hollywood film Obsession, starring Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrette in the lead roles, kicked off its box office journey on a promising note in India. The horror film collected Rs. 1.50 crore on its Day 1, after an encouraging paid previews of Rs. 50 lakh. This took its opening day cume to Rs. 2 crore gross at the Indian box office.
Based on current trends, Obsession is looking to make a sum of Rs. 6-7 crore in its opening weekend in India. That will be a good start for an Indie horror film at the Indian box office. The movie is witnessing a gravity-defying run in the US. The same kind of reception is expected in India too, as the initial word-of-mouth seems extremely positive.
It will be interesting to see whether the movie can witness a theatrical run like Lee Cronin's The Mummy and emerge as a Clean Hit venture in India.
