Anushka Sharma's third production Pari finally hit the screens on Friday (March 2, 2018). The film is getting appreciated by both the audience and the critics as well. The film made approx Rs 4 crore on its opening day which is quite decent for a Friday holiday.

The reports of second-day box office collection are out. As per a leading trade website, Pari minted Rs 4.75 crore which has rounded to a total of Rs 8.75 crore for two days.

Co-producer Arjun N Kapoor of KriArj Entertainment, said, "In many places outside Mumbai where theatres did not shut totally, they still opened only after 3 pm. But the word of mouth is so good that Saturday and Sunday will prove to be good days for this Anushka starrer. However, states like West Bengal where people celebrated Holi yesterday, have registered extremely good collections on day 1 itself."

Sanjay Chatar, the leading distributor for Central India, said, "Major cinema halls in MP and Chattisgarh areas don't play movies on the Holi day in the morning; if they begin operations they start off only at 6 pm. Rajasthan began only after 4 pm. So the film's business in these crucial territories will only emerge over the weekend."

"The film has gotten 80 percent occupancy in Pune and Thane territories, where Holi is not celebrated widely. But then again, there are places like Nizam, Mysore and others down South that are reeling under a theatre strike. Over the weekend, as the theatre strike wraps up, the film is expected to display strong business," said another trade source.

This Day That Year

Isn't this film doing decent considering the fact that it's a horror genre and an adult film . No horror film except raaz3 has crossed 50 crore but considering pari only has Anushka Sharma and a new director , this film seems to be doing decent . I've heard it has already recovered its COP

nO THE MOVIE IS YET TO BREAK EVEN. Considering the amount collected till now, 50% belongs to the multiplex owners henceforth, the cost is yet to be recovered.

If these are known facts about holi closings, why release the movie on the religious holiday. Bad promotion strategies by wifey.

No offence but who is gonna watch this on holi? Really?
