Pati Patni Aur Woh Do collected Rs. 3 crore on its first Monday, registering a 20 per cent drop from the opening day. Though it's a good hold, it has external factors aiding the business. The running cume of the romantic comedy drama reached Rs. 20 crore in its 4 days of theatrical run.
The Ayushmann Khurrana starrer is expected to wind up its opening week in the vicinity of Rs. 25 crore to Rs. 28 crore, depending on how it performs further on the weekdays. Though the fate of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is already sealed now, it will still be interesting to see whether it will finally land.
Based on the current trends, the movie is expected to close its full run around Rs. 40-50 crore nett, which will be a respectable figure for the film. The post-pandemic era has been particularly unforgiving for small and mid-budget small-town comedies. Before the pandemic, especially during 2018-2019, this space was thriving with a plethora of hit films, including Pati Patni Aur Woh.
