Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Box Office Collections: Ayushmann Khurrana's rom-com earns Rs 4 crore plus in 3rd Weekend, targets Rs 50 crore finish
Ayushmann Khurrana's Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, directed by Mudassar Aziz, took its running cume closer to the Rs. 45 crore mark in 17 days. It is expected to wind up its full run around Rs. 50 crore mark.
Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh, witnessed a 10 per cent spike on its third Sunday, adding Rs. 1.75 crore to the tally. The romantic comedy drama, directed by Mudassar Aziz, took its third weekend's cume to Rs. 4.30 crore nett, which is 40 per cent down from the previous weekend.
The Ayushmann Khurrana starrer took its running cume to Rs. 44.55 crore nett at the Indian box office in 17 days of its theatrical run. Pati Patni Aur Woh Do will face a couple of new releases in the fourth week, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Bandar, and Peddi, which will definitely have an impact on the screen share, eventually pushing it out of the cinemas.
The movie is looking to wind up its entire box office journey at Rs. 50 crore mark or so, which will not change its verdict at the box office but is a somewhat face-saving figure after a dull start.
For the unversed, the original film was a Clean Hit at the box office. The Kartik Aaryan starrer had a full run of Rs. 80 crore nett in India, which is now a tough mark to achieve for rom-coms releasing in the post-2020 era. Had this film been released in the pre-2020 era, it likely would have done much better at the box office.
