Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Final Advance Booking: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer sells 13,000 tickets in National Chains, targets low start
Ayushmann Khurrana's romantic comedy drama, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, is looking to take a low start at the box office. The movie needs to grab a positive reception in order to succeed.
Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role, along with Wamiqa Gabbi, Rakulpreet, and Sara Ali Khan, is about to release in cinemas in a couple of hours. The romantic comedy drama, directed by Mudassar Aziz, recorded a low advance booking for its opening day.
The movie sold around 13,000 tickets in total in the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis. That's even lower than Ayushmann Khurrana's Doctor G, which already had a low advance. For the record, Doctor G sold around 18,000 tickets in national chains in total, and it had taken an opening of Rs. 3.50 crore only. When compared to other mid-sized rom-coms like Param Sundari and De De Pyaar De 2, the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer trailed far behind.
Based on the trends and pre-sales, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is expected to nett around Rs. 3-4 crore on its first day. The final forecast for the film on Pinkvilla Predicts was Rs. 3-5.50 crore, with a pinpoint of Rs. 3.50 crore. Its fate will heavily depend on how the audience receives it. If the movie manages to record a positive reception among the audience, it will see an instant boost in its collections.
