Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Week 3 Box Office: Ayushmann Khurrana-led comedy film nears Rs 50 crore in 21 days
The Ayushmann Khurrana starrer romantic comedy drama, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, directed by Mudassar Aziz, is looking to close its entire theatrical run at Rs. 50 crore mark or so.
Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh, collected Rs. 60 lakh on its third Thursday, closing its Week 3 at Rs. 7.95 crore nett. This is 35 per cent down from its second week. The running cume of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do now stands at Rs. 48.20 crore nett at the Indian box office in its 21 days of theatrical run.
The romantic comedy drama is heading to cross the Rs. 50 crore mark by the end of its fourth weekend, which might also put an end to its theatrical run as the movie will lose most of its showcasing due to new releases, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Bandar, and Peddi.
Though it is a decent total and somewhat face-saving after a dull start, it still won't change its verdict at the box office. Furthermore, the Ayushmann Khurrana movie had several discount offers to lure the audience and some external feedings, which took it to this mark. That said, its collections should be taken with an asterisk.

For the unversed, the original film was a Clean Hit at the box office. The Kartik Aaryan starrer had a full run of Rs. 80 crore nett in India, which is now a tough mark to achieve for rom-coms releasing in the post-2020 era. Had this film been released in the pre-2020 era, it likely would have done much better at the box office.
