Raja Shivaji is maintaining a good hold at the box office, with Rs. 1.25 crore coming on the 3rd Monday. It dropped by 20 per cent on Monday from the 3rd Friday. The movie is now standing at Rs. 99.35 crore gross. That said, it is on the verge of entering the Rs. 100 crore gross club.

The movie will achieve this huge feat by the end of today. Interestingly, it will be a record for Marathi cinema as no film could ever breach the three-digit figure. The Riteish Deshmukh starrer has already emerged as the highest-grossing Marathi film by surpassing Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva

Having said that, both Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva earned their monies almost entirely from Maharashtra state, whereas Raja Shivaji has a significant amount coming from outside Maharashtra. In Maharashtra, Raja Shivaji will likely stay below the two, and that’s what the core market really is, and that’s where it should have done record numbers as well. Of course, the expectations were for even higher as films like Tanhaji and Chhaava did extraordinary numbers in the state, the former adjusting to Rs. 250 crore today while the latter crossed Rs. 300 crore. Raja Shivaji won’t even reach Rs. 100 crore in the state.

The Box Office Collections for Raja Shivaji in India are as follows:

Week/Day Box Office
Week 1 Rs. 61.75 crore
Week 2  Rs. 28.00 crore

3rd Friday Rs. 1.60 crore
3rd Saturday Rs. 3.00 crore
3rd Sunday Rs. 3.75 crore
3rd Monday Rs. 1.25 crore (est.)

Total Rs. 99.35 crore
