Raja Shivaji Box Office Collections: Riteish Deshmukh's film collects Rs 2 crore on 2nd Wednesday, nears Rs 90 crore mark
The Riteish Deshmukh starrer historical epic drama, Raja Shivaji, added Rs. 2 crore to the tally on its 2nd Wednesday. The movie is looking to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark in its 3rd week.
Raja Shivaji collected Rs. 2 crore on its second Wednesday, registering around a Rs. 20 per cent drop from Monday. The second week's cume reached Rs. 26 crore in 6 days. The running cume of the historical drama reached Rs. 87.50 crore so far.
The movie is looking to close this week, around Rs. 29-30 crore, which will take its running cume to the Rs. 90 crore mark. The movie is all set to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark at the Indian box office, which will be for the first time for a Marathi film. Earlier, Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva came very close to this milestone, but couldn't achieve it. Notably, those two had just the Marathi version, with almost all of their business coming from Maharashtra, while Raja Shivaji has a Hindi-dubbed version and a good amount of business outside Maharashtra.
The Riteish Deshmukh starrer has the potential to keep gaining traction even after crossing the Rs. 100 crore mark. So far, the movie is looking to wind up its entire theatrical run around Rs. 110-115 crore gross at the Indian box office.
