Spider-Man Brand New Day India Advance Booking: Tom Holland starrer grosses Rs 5 crore of pre-sales, sells 80,000 tickets in National Chains
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is witnessing a phenomenal sales in India, with nearly 80,000 tickets already sold in PVR Inox and Cinepolis for the opening day.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is witnessing phenomenal sales in India. The upcoming superhero flick sold around 80,000 tickets in the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis, for the opening day. Of this, around 70,000 admissions were registered at PVR Inox alone, while the remaining 10,000 tickets were sold at Cinepolis.
That makes its advance gross of Rs. 5 crore at the Indian box office. What's interesting is that advances are restricted largely to premium formats such as PXL, 4DX, and ScreenX. The movie is yet to open bookings in major centres. Furthermore, it will not have an IMAX release as Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey has four-week IMAX exclusivity.
Seeing the initial response, the movie is sure to take a huge opening in India, and if word-of-mouth helps, it might emerge as one of the biggest Hollywood grossers in India this year. The movie should target the lifetime cume of the previous Spider-Man film, which had a glorious run in India, collecting around Rs. 265 crore.
That too came at a time when the market was still recovering from the COVID pandemic and with strong local competition from Pushpa: The Rise and 83. Brand New Day arrives under far more favourable circumstances, with the theatrical market in a much healthier position. Moreover, Hollywood is carrying strong momentum in India this year, with multiple unexpected successes. Brand New Day is one which is expected to be big, and if these pre-sales are to go by, it should indeed be. The movie is slated for a theatrical release on July 30, 2026.
