Supergirl Opening Weekend India Box Office Collections: Milly Alcock and Jason Momoa starrer collects Rs 5.50 crore in 3 days
Supergirl recorded a poor opening weekend in India. How far it can go from there on will depend on how the film performs on weekdays.
Hollywood film Supergirl, starring Milly Alcock in the lead role, along with Jason Momoa, David Corenswet, Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, and Emily Beecham, recorded a poor opening weekend at the Indian box office. After taking an opening of Rs. 2 crore, the movie could make a sum of just Rs. 5.5 crore in its 3-day weekend haul. Ideally, it should have witnessed a promising growth and closed its first weekend around Rs. 7 to 9 crore. However, it couldn't maintain the momentum.
The Milli Alcock starrer garnered mixed-bag reactions, which is a major reason why it struggled to mint a decent total so far. Based on current trends, the movie might end up its entire run around the Rs. 10 crore mark or so, if it didn't see a miraculous turnaround ahead. So far, Supergirl is heading to end up being a box office failure in India.
Hollywood films are having a great run at the box office this year, with several non-anticipated non-IP movies faring better than expectations and emerging as successful ventures: Project Hail Mary, Lee Cronin's The Mummy, Obsession, The Devil Weds Prada 2, Michael, and others. However, the recent two releases, Toy Story 5 and Supergirl, couldn't continue the same momentum.
