BTS makes history as Arirang World Tour surpasses The Rolling Stones’ 7 year historic Billboard Boxscore record
BTS have become the undisputed touring kings. They outperformed The Rolling Stones sharing the list with Beyoncé, Coldplay, Bad Bunny, and Elton John.
K-pop titans BTS have officially etched their names deeper into music history. Recently, they surpassed legendary rock icons The Rolling Stones to claim the biggest monthly concert revenue by a group in Billboard Boxscore history.
BTS breaks The Rolling Stones' 7-year record in monthly top tours
According to data released by Billboard, BTS dominated the Top Tours chart after bringing in a jaw-dropping $127.8 million (Rs 12,09,64,32,500 approx.) and selling 641,000 tickets across just 12 shows from May 2 to 28. The historic milestone was achieved by the US and Mexico legs of their highly anticipated Arirang World Tour.
With their massive monthly revenue, BTS comfortably broke the previous record held by The Rolling Stones, who grossed $95 million (Rs 9,04,85,12,500 approx.). The legendary rock band had held that benchmark since the inception of Billboard's monthly Boxscore tracking, for seven years. BTS didn't just surpass the rock veterans; they outperformed the record by a huge margin.
The achievement also marks the fourth time BTS has topped the monthly Top Tours chart, firmly placing them alongside multi-time chart-toppers like Beyoncé, Coldplay, Bad Bunny, and Elton John.
The Arirang World Tour marks a monumental post-hiatus return for the group. It saw an explosive leap in revenue compared to previous tracking periods.
The biggest gig of the month was their four-night residency in Las Vegas, which earned $49.5 million (Rs 4,71,47,51,250 approx.) and sold 246,000 tickets. This easily landed them on the number 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Boxscores chart. Other massive, sold-out stadium stops included California, Texas, and Mexico City.
With the Arirang World Tour coming guns blazing, Billboard reported that BTS has officially crossed the half-billion-dollar mark in career Boxscore earnings.
With over 50 remaining dates left on the global schedule this year, Arirang World Tour is expected to become the highest-grossing concert tour of BTS's career, going past 2019's Love Yourself World Tour.
Reports indicate that the Arirang World Tour has recorded $204 million in sales and 1.1 million tickets sold so far. The tour kicked off on April 9, 2026.
