Back in December, it was revealed that BTS has pledged to donate one set of the costumes worn in their hit music video Dynamite for charity. The members were giving their outfits for Julien's Auctions MusiCares Charity Relief Auction (Recording Academy's philanthropic arm). The money raised from the auction would be donated towards providing health and financial resources to those in need. At the time of the auction announcement, Julien’s Auctions estimated a "conservative" $20,000 to $40,000 bid on the set. It has now been revealed that the outfits have been sold at a jaw-dropping amount.

Julien’s Auctions took to Twitter and revealed that the outfit set was sold at a whopping $162,500! "SOLD for $162,500!  The costumes worn in the music video of the mega-hit song "Dynamite” donated by GRAMMY Nominated BTS, all to benefit MusiCares in today’s Charity Relief Auction," the tweet read. The clothes featured in the bid included the outfits and the accessories the wore with it.

The breakdown of the members' outfits featured RM and Suga's yellow T-shirts, matching button-down shirts and shorts, Namjoon's yellow Kangol hat; Jin's all-pink ensemble, a pink T-shirt, button-down shirt, trousers and sneakers; J-Hope's pink and white polo shirts and pink shorts; Jungkook's blue T-shirt and blue button-down shirt which he wore with a pair of blue sweat pants; V's blue sweater, sweat pants and blue Kangol cap and Jimin's lavender T-shirt, button-down shirt, sweat pants. The auction also featured the group's sneakers worn in the shot.

As for the song, Dynamite has broken several records since its release. The song became the septet's first song to have debuted on the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100, holding a spot on the chart for weeks. It also became BTS's first song to have been nominated for Grammys.
