BTS shatters multiple historic records as their track Come Over debuts on Billboard Hot 100
With their latest track Come Over, BTS has topped more than one Billboard chart. The group’s full-length album ARIRANG came at number ten in Billboard 200.
Even without promotional trailers or a formal album campaign, BTS continues to rewrite the history books of the global music industry. According to the latest charts published by Billboard, the 21st-century pop icons have made a spectacular debut on the Billboard Hot 100 with their surprise single Come Over. BTS’ Come Over debuts on Billboard Hot 100, breaks multiple records
Originally touted as an exclusive bonus track produced by Suga for the deluxe vinyl edition of BTS’ record-breaking fifth studio album, ARIRANG, the single Come Over’s digital release has shattered multiple records.
The debut of Come Over isn't just another entry on the charts. It also marks a milestone for the group across several Billboard categories. The track became number one in both the Digital Song Sales and World Digital Song Sales charts.
With this double-victory, BTS has now amassed a staggering 44 No. 1 hits across these platforms, officially breaking their own previous record for the most No. 1s in chart history.
The track also took over the international stage, premiering at number five on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and number fourteen on the Global 200. This brings BTS’s total count to 21 group songs inside the Global Excl. U.S. Top 10.
This entry also set an all-time record for the most top-10 entries by any group since the chart's inception.
For the unversed, Come Over officially marks BTS's 39th entry as a group on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100, even though it was an unannounced standalone release.
The sudden arrival of Come Over also made the BTS army excited and hopeful for their future. The group’s critically acclaimed fifth full-length album, ARIRANG, surged back into the top tier of the Billboard 200, reclaiming the number ten spot.
Simultaneously, the album’s lead single, SWIM, held strong at number 55 on the Hot 100, extending its run to 13 consecutive weeks on the chart.
