The cast of Coffee Prince reunited for a special documentary for MBC where they shared their fondest memories and share their behind-the-scenes moments from the show. While laughs and nostalgia oozed from the first episode, the second of the two-part special will turn emotional as the cast remembers Lee Eon. The actor, who played Hwang Min Yeop on the show, passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident in 2008. Star Today reported that Gong Yoo teared up at the mention the late actor.
It is known that Gong Yoo treated the late actor like a brother. In the upcoming episode, Gong Yoo confessed that the team avoided discussing the actor for they were deeply affected by the loss. At the time, Hancinema reported that Gong Yoo, who was completing his military training at the time, came for a day and held the memorial tablet at the funeral. Gong Yoo added that he wished Lee Eon was around for the documentary. While Gong Yoo couldn't hide his tears, Kim Dong Wook and Kim Jae Wook witnessed a sweet phenomenon when they began talking about the late star.
Just when the camera began rolling and two opened up about Lee Eon, it coincidentally began raining outside the cafe. The two actors fondly remembered the fellow "Prince". The duo said that though Lee Eonhad a short life, he died at the age of 27, they feel he managed to do everything that he wanted in life.
