Kalank has been watched and reviewed. Apart from some solid performances by the ensemble cast which includes Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Kunal Kemmu, and Alia Bhatt, it is Aditya Roy Kapur who managed to win hearts with his restrained and simplistic performance. Aditya, who plays a loving husband, a newspaper editor and son of Balraj Chaudhary (Sanjay), had the daunting task of conveying emotions through eyes while all the other characters in the movie spoke volumes with their dialogues, Dev was about eyes.

The actor completes 10 years into the industry this year. Starting his career with London Dreams to Aashiqui 2, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, and now Kalank, Aditya has managed to carve a niche for himself amid the odds. Just like Aashiqui 2, he managed to leave the audience weeping, with a glorious gorgeous face and enigmatic personality, he managed to convince people of Dev's complexities and simplicity in Kalank. His chemistry with Sonakshi, who played Satya, his first wife and Alia, was applauded and his camaraderie with Varun in scenes together were appreciated.

It is difficult to walk out of the movie not acknowledging the effect he leaves on us as Dev. Isn't it? Not just us, even fans have been only raving about how good Aditya has been in Kalank, perhaps considering it one of the his best performances.

The actor took a hiatus of two years after Fitoor and Ok Jaanu and made a solid return with Kalank. In an interview, he opened up about how the "break" helped him evolve as an actor and form a better perspective. If he is not busy making fans weak on their knees with his performance here, he definitely manages to leave them gasping with his Instagram posts.

Hi Adi love you so much.

Aashiqui was a hit only because of his performance and the music...rest the film was boring....he looked very fresh in this film..and varuns affected dialogue delivery was so bad that it made him look even better...his dialogue delivery was very good too ..
