It's Akshay Kumar's birthday today! The kickass actor has turned 51 and has been entertaining people for about 27 years. The superstar, in these many years, has been a part of several blockbuster films and his performances are always memorable. Akshay has tried and tested all possible genres in his career including romance, horror, animated, comedy, drama, action to name a few. Lately, we have been seeing Akshay doing films which have been invoking patriotism in us and people are loving it!

In the year 1992, Akshay starred in the film titled Khiladi and since then he has been given the title of Khiladi of Bollywood. The superstar showed that no one can match up to him in action and has been inspiring not only his fans but also the younger actors of Bollywood. Thereafter, Akshay tried his hand in comedy films and of course, he did not fail. Whenever the actor becomes a part of comedy films, he makes sure to tickle our funny bones just by his expressions and dialogues.

Today, on the occasion of Akshay's birthday, let's take a look at a few films which are of different genres and equally entertaining.

Khiladi (1992)

Khiladi is a suspense thriller film helmed by Abbas Mustan. In the film, which is touted as Akshay's first ever hit, the actor played the role of a flamboyant college student who believes in petty challenges in life. The actor not only showed us that he is unbeatable when it comes to action but also impressed as a romantic and comedy hero.

Mohra (1994)

In this Rajiv Rai directorial, the superstar played the role of a police inspector and his tough look was indeed something to watch out for. Moreover, Akshay's dance skills in Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast is still loved by everyone even now.

Sangharsh (1999)

In Sangharsh, Akshay was seen as a genius professor who has been imprisoned. His intelligence and intensity while interacting with Preity G Zinta were truly lauded by the cine-goers.

Hera Pheri (2000)

Who can forget this iconic dialogue of Akshay as a loafer, "Style hai Babu Bhaiya, Raju ka style"? Despite not being rich, his dreams of living like the richest man in the world which is relatable and people were left in splits as well.

Dhadkan (2000)

With this film, Akshay created a beautiful image of how an ideal husband should be. Throughout the film, the actor's character faces a lot of hurdles which he crosses with calmness and a smile on his face.

Ajnabee (2001)

"Everything is planned"! This insane dialogue changed the whole scenario of the film and it was unbelievable to see Akshay in this brutal avatar. His charm not only made girls go weak in their knees, but they also got scared of him as the film progressed.

Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004)

Wicked Sunny was adorable, naughty and flirtatious too. The superstar, who was secretly helping his childhood best friend win the girl of his dreams, made sure that people detest him throughout the film. Well, but we do love Wicked Sunny, right?!

Aitraaz (2004)

This movie showed that even a Man can become a victim of sexual assault and Akshay played this character amazingly.

Garam Masala (2005)

Only Akshay could have played this character in the Hindi remake of a superhit Malayalam film, wherein he was engaged to three girls and handled it smartly throughout the whole film.

Namastey London (2007)

We definitely empathised with his character, who marries the girl he loved at first sight but later realised it was just a game for her so as to escape the pressure from her parents. But Akshay, who was a charmer in the film, wins Katrina Kaif's heart in the sweetest way and it was a Happy Beginning for them!

He's a great supporting actor, people forget those are some of his absolute best movies, Dil To Pagel Hai is Shahrukh Khan's movie, Khakee is Amitabh's movie, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi is Salman's movie, even movies like OMG and Namaste London give better parts and more scree time to primarily Paresh Rawal and Katrina. Still, people say Akshay is their favorite part of all these movies.

He is such a handsome man. Happy Birthday to Khiladi Akshay Kumar
