Rohit Shetty who gave us amazing movie series such as Golmaal and Singham has turned a year older today. The director who is known for showcasing amazing fight scenes and laughter riots has actually given us our very own desi Avengers series and Cop Cinematic Universe which chronicles stories of police personnel who are actually, to be honest, no less than superheroes. Still didn't get it, let me elaborate it further. After making the super funny Golmaal movies, Sunday and All The Best, Rohit decided to entertain his audiences with cop drama and gave us Singham our first desi Avenger. After the thunderous response to Singham, he came back with sequel Singham Returns. He later came up with Simmba which is the spin-off of Singham series. Fans went berserk when they saw Ajay Devgn in the movie and this movie too received great response from all the quarters.

Interestingly, in MCU and DCEU, we also see such crossovers. What confirmed that Rohit is on his way to create his own cop-verse was when viewers saw Akshay Kumar's cameo as Sooryavanshi at the end of Simmba. It was similar to the Marvel movies in which we get to see end credits scenes which gives the audiences a sneak peek into the upcoming MCU movie. So, after Singham and Simmba, here comes the latest addition in his cop-verse.

Recently, Rohit even revealed that he got the idea to start a universe while watching Hollywood superhero projects like Avengers. "I always thought of it as a desi Marvel universe story where the leads meet in Simmba. I am happy with the way it has shaped up. Everyone around keeps telling me that Simmba is my best work to date." "Obviously, we don't have the kind of budget to make so many superhero films year after year. Then I thought to make a cop universe from 'Simmba' onwards," he added.

The latest news will make his fans rejoice even more as Rohit yesterday revealed that he has definite plans to make a female cop movie much like Captain Marvel's entry in Avengers to complete his Singham universe. We are now eagerly waiting for Sooryanshi and more movies of his cop army members from the franchise and hope that he does come up with Avengers like mega crossover movie as well. Fans of the cop drama will go gaga if Rohit acquires rights of Dabangg and give us crossover of Ranveer, Ajay, Akshay and Salman.

We don't know his plans yet, but meanwhile, let us thank Rohit for giving us CCU (Cop Cinematic Universe) which is indeed a delight for Indian cinephiles.
