From Roohi Johar and Yash Johar to Inaaya Naumi Kemmu: Babies born in 2017

The year 2017 saw the rise in star kids as Bollywood and Hollywood stars welcomed their little bundles of joy who completely transformed their lives. While a few couples have already been parents, there were many first-time parents as well.

Let's take a look at the babies born this year:

Karan Johar's twins Roohi Johar and Yash Johar

Karan Johar welcomed twins Roohi Johar and Yash Johar on February 7, 2017.

Karan released a statement on the birth of his twins which read as, "I am ecstatic to share with you all the two most wonderful additions to my life, my children and lifelines;  Roohi and Yash. I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science."

Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu's daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu

Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu welcomed their first daughter on September 29, 2017, and named her Inaaya Naumi Kemmu.

Kunal had taken to Twitter to tweet the good news. The elated father had tweeted, "We are over the moon to share we have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl on this auspicious day Thank you for the love and blessings," and added, "We have named our daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu. Little  Inaaya is happy and healthy and she thanks, all of you for your love and blessings." 

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani's daughter Radhya Takhtani

Esha Deol and husband Bharat Takhtani welcomed a baby girl on October 23, 2017, and named her Radhya Takhtani.

Talking about her granddaughter is veteran actress Hema Malini who told a leading daily, "It’s such a beautiful feeling to become a grandmom again! I am very excited right now. Even Dharmendra ji is very happy. Esha is doing well, and the newborn baby girl, whom Esha and her husband Bharat Takhtani have decided to name Radhya, is so sweet and lovely-looking, like a little doll!"

Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel's son Prithvi Raj Chandel

Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel welcomed her son Prithvi Raj Chandel in November 2017.

When Rangoli's son turned 13 days old, they organised a Gatryala - a traditional ceremony to celebrate the birth of their son. Rangoli posted pictures on her social media account and captioned it, “Prithviraj turns 13 days, this occasion is celebrated in Himachal with Pooja, local food and songs”

Lisa Haydon and Dino Lalvani's son Zack Lalvani

Lisa Haydon and Dino Lalvani's welcomed son Zack Lalvani on May 17, 2017.

In a message to Zack, Lisa had said, "No greater satisfaction than being your mom, my precious."

Asin Thottumkal and Rahul Sharma's daughter

Asin Thottumkal and Rahul Sharma welcomed their daughter on October 24, 2017.

A statement by the couple on the arrival of the baby girl read as, "We are ecstatic to announce the arrival of our angelic baby girl earlier today. The last 9 months have been most special and exciting for the both of us and we would like to thank all our well wishers and everyone who has been part of our journey for all their love and support."

Fardeen Khan and Natasha Madhvani's son Azarius Fardeen Khan

Fardeen Khan and Natasha Madhvani welcomed their son Azarius Fardeen Khan on August 11, 2017. 

The elated dad had taken to Twitter to share the good news with his fans. His tweet read as, "We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our son Azarius Fardeen Khan who was born on the 11th of August 2017."

Adnan Sami and wife Roya Sami's daughter Medina Sami

Adnan Sami and Roya Sami welcomed daughter Medina Sami, on May 8, 2017.

Talking about his baby girl, Adnan had said, "Roya and I are floating on Cloud 9 feeling blessed beyond words with the arrival of Medina. Indeed sabar ka phal Medina hai."

Celina Jaitly and Peter Haag's son Arthur Jaitly Haag

Celina Jaitly and Peter Haag welcomed their second set of twins - Arthur Jaitly Haag and Shamsher Jaitly Haag on September 10, 2017. However, due to a serious heart condition, Shamsher could not continue his journey in this world.

In a heartbreaking FB post, Celina had said, "The Gods above have blessed us yet again with another set of very handsome twin boys 'Arthur Jaitly Haag’ and 'Shamsher Jaitly Haag’ in Dubai on 10th September 2017. However, life is not always how we plan it to be. Our son 'Shamsher Jaitly Haag’ succumbed to a serious heart condition and could not continue his journey in this world."

Beyonce and Jay-Z's twins Rumi Carter and Sir Carter

Beyoncé and Jay-Z welcomed twins Rumi Carter and Sir Carter on June 14, 2017.

On choosing the name Rumi, Jay Z revealed to a popular US-based podcast., "Rumi is our favorite poet, so it was for our daughter," and the reason for naming his son Sir, Jay Z continued, "Sir was like, man, come out the gate. He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir."

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed welcomed daughter Bodhi Soleil Reed Somerhalder on July 25, 2017.

In a message to Bodhi before she was born, a still pregnant Nikki had said, "Hi Little One. I know you, but only because I feel you. How is it possible to love someone so much already? All I know for sure is it's the strongest feeling I've ever felt. We've been sharing this body for quite some time, and we've already experienced so much together. We can't wait to meet you...Love, Your parents."
