Shreya Ghoshal marriage: Singer's 3-year journey with husband Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya

Shreya Ghoshal is one of the best playback singers we have in the Indian music industry. She has not only sung for Bollywood movies but also won hearts for her songs in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Assamese, Nepali, Oriya, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Urdu, Tulu etc and other film industries. Shreya came into the limelight when she participated in the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma's children's episode. Ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali gave her a break in his 2002 magnum opus Devdas. Shreya went on to become Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's voice as she crooned for her in songs namely Silsila Ye Chaahat Ka, Bairi Piya, Chalak Chalak, Morey Piya and Dola Re Dola. She was all of 16 when she made her singing debut in Bollywood. 

For her songs in Devdas, Shreya won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer and also the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent. Since then, there was no turning back for Shreya. She became one of the most popular and loved singers in the country and people look forward to listening to her songs in every possible movie.

After 13 years of slaying the music industry, Shreya surprised everyone by announcing her marriage. The beautiful singer took to her Twitter page and shared a selfie with her husband Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya. She tweeted their marriage photo stating, "Married the love of my life @shiladitya last night surrounded by our families n close friends, exciting new life awaits."

Many had no idea of Shreya's personal life, so her marriage with Shiladitya was indeed surprising for her fans. The couple tied the knot on February 5, 2015, in a traditional Bengali ceremony. Reports have it, Shreya and husband Shiladitya were in a relationship for almost a decade before entering their marital bliss.

In 2016, reports started making the rounds that Shreya and Shiladitya are expecting their first child. But, the singer quashed all rumours and put it to rest by tweeting, "Ok, I seriously need to clarify now. Thought keeping silent would bury the rumour on itself. But it's not:/ I AM NOT PREGNANT!!"

Though they don't have a baby, they are proud parents to their pet canine named Sherlock. Both Shreya and Shiladitya's Instagram pages are filled with cute photos and videos of Sherlock. Interestingly, Sherlock has his own Instagram page named sherlockthefetcher.

Shreya and Shiladitya are married for three years and the singer posted an anniversary message recently. She posted a selfie with him with a beautiful caption where she penned the lyrics of Padmaavat's song Ek Dil Ek Jaan. Shreya stated, "You were just a boy and I was just a girl. We met, like strangers, in that school reunion. Something happened right at that moment, our hearts went berserk.. I never thought love stories that I read in novels and watched in movies really existed, but well, they do... Happy 3rd anniversary to us #shreyaditya

Speaking about Shreya's husband, Shiladitya is a young entrepreneur, who did his graduation from the University of Bombay. Shreya's husband is a BE in Electronics, he also studied from the Atomic Energy Junior College in Mumbai.

Coming to Shreya, it's a known fact that she has received several awards and accolades for her contribution to the music industry in different languages. Shreya was bestowed with five National Film Awards for her songs Bairi Piya (Devdas), Dheere Jalna (Paheli), Yeh Ishq Haaye (Jab We Met), Pherari Mon (Antaheen) and Jeev Rangala (Jogwa)

While the Mayor of the City of Cincinnati, declared July 24, 2015, as Shreya Ghoshal Day of Entertainment and Inspiration.
