As Yuvraj Singh retired from international cricket on Monday, fans and former players came together to wish and pay tributes to one of the most stylish players on the field.

One such message was from Peter Borren, the former cricket captain of Netherlands. The cricketer spoke about his admiration for Yuvi with a dash of humour and even included Virat Kohli in it. “I played against Yuvraj a couple of times and even I couldn't get him out, which makes him a better player than Kohli imo,” he wrote.

However, this light-hearted remark did not go down well with Kohli's fans who took offence to Borren's words.

The player was referring to Holland's match with India in the 2011 World Cup, which the Men in Blue won comvincingly. It was Yuvraj Singh's knock of 51 that helped India through. In that game, Kohli was out for 12 by Borren.

It was this game that was mentioned by him in his tweet, but fans missed the humour and attacked Borren, unfortrunately.
