Eoin Morgan led England cricket team had a tremendous World Cup in the latter half and had played fearless cricket throughout the tournament. However, the English skipper, who defeated the defending champions in the semi-finals by 8 wickets wouldn’t like to the Black Caps for granted in the Finals.

Eoin Morgan admitted that New Zealand throughout the whole tournament has been probably the hardest side to beat and the best side in the group stages. He also added that according to him their performance in the semi-finals was probably the best and it will be difficult to beat the kiwis on Sunday. New Zealand defeated the Men in Blue by 18 runs in semi-finals at Manchester to reach the Finals.

Morgan added that England cricket team were way off the mark in 2015 and they struggled against the top teams. “We struggled against the top teams, and the teams that sat below that, so there was quite a drastic change in the way we played and the way we looked at playing our 50-over cricket," he added on talking about England’s performance in the past few years.

He also said that for him, the 2005 Ashes in particular was the day when cricket became cool for him. He added that throughout that whole summer, the game was on the front and back of every newspaper going around and everyone was talking about it which is really good for the game.
