Ranking 6th in the points table, the Windies have won only one game in their three matches in the tournament of which one was called off due to excess rain. The team lost to Australia by 15 runs and emerged victorious against the Men in Green by 7 wickets in their first game of the tournament. Lets have a look at their key players.

Oshane Thomas- This Jamaican fast bowler can provide the team much needed breakthrough in crucial overs. He was named the Player of the Match in the team’s first match in the tournament against Pakistan. In the 5.4 overs that he bowled in that low scoring game, he managed to pick up 4 wickets by giving only 27 runs, making him Windies' one of the most reliable bowlers in the team. Despite losing the game against Aussies by 15 runs, Oshane yet again contributed to the team by picking up 2 wickets. He provided a crucial breakthrough to the team by dismissing the Australian captain, Aaron Finch and Steve Smith.

Nicolas Pooran- Apart from the players who can hit huge sixes and fours for the team, the Windies would rely on Nicolas to provide stability in the middle. In their previous game, he smashed a solid 40 runs off 36 deliveries and contributed to the team’s batting line-up. His innings against Pakistan in a low-scoring match was crucial as he stood there till the end scoring 34 runs off 19 deliveries.
