EXCLUSIVE: Jacqueline Fernandez to star opposite John Abraham in Attack
The makers of the actioner wanted an established A-list actress to star in Attack and they roped in Jacqueline opposite John for the same. Read details.
Earlier this year, John Abraham announced that he has green lit debutante filmmaker Lakshya Raj Anand's film Attack. The director was signed on by John's production house to make films for them and their association together has been quite a long term one. The high adrenaline pumping actioner has John going back to what he does best - fight for the country and battle against terrorists. The first look of his character from Attack was unveiled a few months ago.
Now, we can tell you that the makers have locked the main female lead for the film. Who's it? A source reveals, "It's Jacqueline Fernandez. Jackie has been roped in to essay the role of the primary female protagonist. Hers is an action packed role as well. Jacqueline was in talks with Laksh for sometime and they wanted to do a film together. When he narrated the story of Attack to her, she immediately liked it and gave her nod to the project. She has also signed on the dotted line."
The idea was to get an established face. "They were thinking of actresses and they locked Jacqueline because of her athletic figure and her action prowess. Jackie is terrific with stunts and that's also one of the major highlights in Attack," our source adds. The movie will begin sometime early next year. "John is releasing Pagalpanti now and also has another film lined up. Attack rolls out around December end and Jackie will join the team from January onwards. Meanwhile, Jacqueline's Drive releases in a week from now on an OTT platform.
