EXCLUSIVE: Pankaj Tripathi to make cameo in Oh My God 2 director Amit Rai’s next film featuring 240 dogs, titled Dharma
Pankaj Tripathi has already worked with Amit Rai in Oh My God 2. Their next titled Dharma promises to be another heart-warming film.
After the success of Oh My God 2, filmmaker Amit Rai is gearing up for the release of his next directorial venture. Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that the film, which is currently in post-production, will feature a special cameo appearance by actor Pankaj Tripathi.
Interestingly, titled Dharma, the film is unlike a conventional feature film with a singular protagonist. The story revolves around a dog, making every character integral to the narrative. The film is headlined by child actor Maahi Rai and boasts an ensemble cast featuring Geeta Aggarwal Sharma and Rajesh Kumar of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai fame in important roles.
Dharma features approximately 240 dogs and is designed as a heartwarming entertainer for children and families. The film aims to celebrate the bond between humans and animals through an emotionally rich and engaging narrative.
A source shares, "Dharma is a very special film for Amit Rai. The story is centered around a dog, and hence, there is no single lead character in the traditional sense. Every actor contributes significantly to the narrative. Pankaj Tripathi has come on board for a cameo that is expected to leave an impact. The makers have worked extensively with nearly 240 dogs and the makers are eyeing a release on July 24."
Pinkvilla had earlier reported that Amit Rai was developing a children's film rooted in the world of dogs. With filming progressing for its release, Dharma is shaping up to be one of the most unusual family entertainers.
