With every film, Taapsee Pannu has proved her acting mettle. Her unconventional choices and phenomenal performances have always worked well which made her one of the best leading ladies we have in Bollywood. After Manmarziyaan, she will be again working with Anurag Kashyap in a supernatural thriller. Not only that, but Kashyap is also producing Taapsee's upcoming film Saand Ki Aankh, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, we asked Taapsee her thoughts on working with Anurag again. The actress said, "It's very different because he is barely on the sets. He only comes for 3-4 days and that's about it. He won't come more as he is producing the film. I have worked with him before and when he is there, there is some comfort level that I share with him as in the back of my head, I know he is there, supporting the project. That gives me more confidence and strength when I am venturing into something more challenging and tricky. Every year, I do something that pushes me ahead but I don't know if the audience will embrace it or no. I really want to do it and I will try to make sure it is good enough."

Saand Ki Aankh is based on the lives of sharpshooters Chandro Tomar and her sister-in-law Prakashi Tomar. The Pink actress told us that she had to train hard for her character. Taapsee shared, "It was lots of training for the film. We had to train for shooting and how to behave because if you are playing a 60-65-year-old, it is not about physically looking like that part. It is also about how you are going to walk and talk and the language too. We had to do a lot of workshops to prepare for the character."

This week, the poster of the film was unveiled in which Taapsee and Bhumi astounded us all with their looks. They look powerful and strong women holding guns in their hands and one would've never imagined seeing them in this avatar! However, some people even felt that instead of Taapsee and Bhumi, the makers should've cast actresses who are 60-70-year-old. What does Taapsee think of these reactions?

She answered, "I just want to ask people why don't you ask the same thing when 30-40-year-old people play college kid. Why don't we ask such questions to them? We have so many actors who are under 20, they only should play these college kids characters. Why is anyone above 25-year-old playing a college kid? Even I have played a college kid after I turned 25. So, I wasn't asked this question back then that 'How come you are playing it? Why don't you take college kids for that role?'. We are actors, we are supposed to play a certain part that is given to us. If that's the case, we would've taken a real martial artist in Naam Shabana or a real lawyer in Mulk."

The kind of roles Taapsee Pannu has played in most of her films have been challenging and also traumatic. So does she ever feel mentally or physically exhausted playing doing such tough roles? The actress said, "Oh, yes! With every film, I feel like I'm becoming a psycho woman. I say that and I sound funny, but it's actually borderline true. I always say that as an actor, you are always playing with emotions, every single day of your life. It's because you are forcing something that's not there. You are forcing your mood swings to happen to you from the outside which obviously which affects us inside somewhere of the other. So, we are actually playing with our own psyche every single day. If we do that for years, obviously it is going to affect you in the longer run. That is why I feel a lot of us have mood swings and sometimes we live in an unpredictable way."

Not just Anurag Kashyap, Taapsee Pannu will also be reuniting with her Mulk director Anubhav Sinha. We asked how does it feel to be trusted by these directors and coming on the top being an outsider and giving back-to-back amazing films. Taapsee Pannu sounded quite overwhelmed and told us, "This definitely means that I have a good report card. Most of the directors I've worked with are repeating me. That kind of validation is a fact that I was a good student and I have done good work for them to cast me again. They probably had all the other options that could've been better for the market value of the film. But the fact that they have chosen me again reassures the fact that I am on the right track."

She added, "This is the only way I am going to establish my way in the film industry because as you said, I am an outsider so I don't have a camp I belong to.  I don't really have people who are standing behind me or having my back. There are the people who I have worked with and who believed in me and my work at that point. They believe I can do good and that's why they are still standing by me. That is what makes me survive in the industry. I won't be surprised if I work with Sujoy very soon because we do keep discussing a lot of films and what we can work in. This is how I've built my career in the film industry."

You were not invited in a camp Tapsee... Had you been invited in a camp am sure you would have been a part of it.

Great Tapasee. Show Kangana how an outsider can do good work and on her own merit and not cry nepotism all the time

Hahaha did you not realize she did take a sly dig at the puppet

You have SRK now so stop complaining.

She's not taking a dig at Alia or any star-kid. She's just talking about her reality. How skewed is your mind that you think every statement made by others is in reference to KJo or his motley crew. He obviously occupies a large part of your psyche.

Please Tapsi...stop pretending with this work drama...you and Krti Sanon sleep around with anybody.

Let me clear u, though taapsee has bonding with directors but doesn't mean she would roam hear and somewhere . other hand, kriti always been clicked with producers especially dinesh vijan(stree, luka chuppi producer) everywhere. And that guy is married then also he is having fun with her.

Alia kjo sun raha hai kya?? Lol everyone started talking about it.. Thank god it's finally feeling like 2019

Sahi bola... You are a better actor.. You don't need KJO camp..stay away from it.. You are doing good by yourself

Lol now Tapsee also taking dig at alia..
