Taapsee Pannu's last release Badla proved to be a superhit at the box office as it got rave reviews from the audiences and the critics. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, this crime thriller released on March 8, and it is still being screened at several theatres. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, Badla crossed 80 crores at the box office.

A few days ago, Big B tweeted that despite Badla being declared a hit, no one mentioned it. Even, the producer of the film isn't talking about its success or throwing a success party. SRK replied to him that they all are waiting for him to throw a party and have been waiting outside his house Jalsa for the same.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, we asked Taapsee about Badla's success and the Twitter banter between Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. About Badla's success party, Taapsee said, "I have been shooting in Johri village in Meerut area since Badla released. Nobody has come here with a cake for me, so I have no idea what celebrations are going on and who is giving a party to whom. I know one thing for sure that when I come back to Mumbai, I will definitely treat myself with a cake or some party for sure for Badla being such a big success."

She couldn't stop laughing while mentioning Big B and SRK's Twitter banter and quipped, "I'll try to invite everyone and they can stop arguing about it. That's why I didn't interrupt also. I was like, let me come back and I'll throw a party."

The Pink actress is quite happy and overwhelmed with all the love and appreciation the film has received. Badla is an official remake of the Spanish film, The Invisible Guest and it was kind of a risk to remake such a popular film. When we asked Taapsee Pannu what worked for Badla, she mentioned as, "What really worked for the film was the fact that the audiences have changed now. They might not have changed in entirety, but yes, there is a big change that is evident with the film like Badla. We were very clear that we didn't have a song to support the commercial aspect of the film, we don't have comedy or action. We have no element to support the conventional commercial aspect of the film. But we knew that if someone walks into the theatre, the film will hold their attention and we were very sure of it".

Taapsee further added, "The struggle was only to make sure that people give it a chance. We got really lucky and the fact that people gave us a chance and then word of mouth spread like fire, which did the needful."

People loved Badla so much, at the end of the film, many stood up and applauded for its brilliancy and the twists till the end. We asked Taapsee if she had expected such great reaction from the moviegoers. She told us, "I wish I had time to walk into theatres. This film I never thought that I will have to go to the theatre and the audience will give this kind of reactions. I knew that in the end, they will be really shocked and come out of the theatre trying to understand what really happened and how did it happen. But all the claps and applause were quite overwhelming for me also. I didn't think of it that this will happen otherwise I would have taken a holiday and visited theatres to see the reactions."

Pinkvilla counter is always faulty for outsiders like Tapsee and Kangana.

About the only actress who is more real than fake!

She is 10000 times better than alia in terms of acting and billion times better in terms of looks, but gayjo will not allow others to shine.

Tapsee looks super wierd with that fake hairline and eyebrows... She was really pretty and cute in her old tamil movies... Now she looks harsh.
