Girls’ Generation’s YoonA heads to Cannes for the second time after stylish 2024 appearance
YoonA will join red carpet of the 79th Cannes Film Festival this year.
Girls’ Generation member YoonA has once again been confirmed to attend the prestigious ongoing 2026 Cannes Film Festival. According to reports on May 12, 2026, the K-pop idol and actress was invited to be a part of the current lineup of the festival as a representative of the luxury jewelry brand Qeelin, for which she is the global brand ambassador. All set to attend the festival on May 17, this will be YoonA’s second time there.
YoonA locks Cannes comeback
The 79th Cannes Film Festival is about to get prettier! According to the latest revelation, singer and actress YoonA has been invited to be a part of this year’s festivities. She will be heading out over the weekend to be present at the Palais des Festivals on May 17 local time. She was seen as a part of the brand’s lineup for her debut Cannes appearance in 2024. Making an elegant entry at not one but two events, she made a memorable mark at the red carpet was talked about at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
She has also been revealed to be a part of the Kering Women In Motion awards, which will shed light on the industry’s female contribution with innovative ideas and hard work. YoonA’s popularity has continued to grow thanks to her illustrious acting career, which includes hit projects like King the Land, Big Mouth, and more recently, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.
The actress has also contributed to films like Confidential Assignment, Exit, Miracle: Letters to the President, Confidential Assignment 2: International, and Pretty Crazy, while also debuting as a part of the SM Entertainment K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation as its visual center in August 2007.
YoonA is all set to appear in the Korean series Unnatural, where she will take on the role of a forensic pathologist at the Unnatural Death Investigation lab, which will be a remake of the famed Japanese drama of the same name.
