Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Hollywood's power couple once upon a time, are yet to separate legally. After parting ways in 2016, the 'Ad Astra ' star has rarely been spotted in public with his kids. While the couple await the proceedings to take place, Brad Pitt has been trying to make amends. However, his relationship with his eldest adopted son Maddox, 18, continues to remain strained. With the teenager off to South Korea to pursue his further studies, Brad is reportedly upset over their relationship. According to a latest report in Us Weekly, Maddox has not been 'receptive' to his father.

A source told the publication that Angelina has been making efforts to reconcile Maddox and Brad's relationship. However, the Maleficent star's efforts have gone in vain. The insider revealed, "Maddox hasn’t been receptive. And for Brad, it’s a tremendous loss." Maddox, who has been attending college in South Korea, has been estranged with his father since they got into a reported altercation on a private jet back in 2016.

The insider added that Brad also hopes to rectify his relationship with their other son Pax Jolie-Pitt. "With Maddox overseas, Brad is also hopeful that Pax will be interested in reconnecting without the influence of his older brother," the source said. The former power couple share six kids Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 11.
