Avatar: Fire and Ash to drop on OTT in June

After a historic theatrical run and breaking records at the box office, James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash is officially heading to the small screen. The third instalment in the franchise is set to make its digital premiere on June 24, 2026, on JioHotstar and Disney plus.

The film, which hit cinemas on December 19, 2025, dominated the big screen for months. Now, the streaming platform has confirmed that subscribers will be able to experience the breathtaking visuals and emotional depth of Pandora at home starting next month.

Avatar: Fire and Ash is the third instalment in the Avatar film series and the sequel to the 2022 masterpiece, Avatar: The Way of Water. The film dives deep into the volcanic regions of Pandora, replacing the lush blues to add a gritty new dimension to the series.

Director James Cameron has reunited the core ensemble that made the first two films global phenomena, with the inclusion of some of the newcomers. Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana return as Jake Sully and Neytiri, navigating their roles as leaders and parents in a time of crisis.

They are joined by Sigourney Weaver, who continues her fascinating portrayal of Kiri, along with Stephen Lang, reprising his role as Colonel Miles Quaritch, and Oona Chaplin, who joins the franchise as Varang. Others who made the film a success by showcasing their acting prowess are David Thewlis, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, and others.

With the release of Fire and Ash, James Cameron’s Avatar series has officially become the highest-grossing film trilogy of all time. The director has already confirmed that the saga is far from over. Apparently, Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 are currently in development and slated for release in 2029 and 2031, respectively.
