The Russo Brothers gave us an epic conclusion with Avengers: Endgame and a heartbreaking end to some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. The character arc of the most iconic superhero, Iron Man, came to an end after almost a decade in Avengers: Endgame. And as much as fans do not want to believe that Tony Stark is dead, the Russo Brothers have confirmed that going forward nothing will be undone. Speaking to comicbook.com, Joe Russo made it clear that Endgame was indeed the end of the road for Robert Downey Jr's character.

In Endgame, Tony Stark aka Iron Man dies from the power of using the Infinity Gauntlet to kill Thanos and his army. Considering his death scene in the film was one of the high points emotionally, it is very likely that Marvel would not consider bringing him back. Joe Russo said, "Tony’s dead, you know?" Russo explained. "That’s it for Robert. He’s done."

In a 2018 interview with Entertainment Weekly, RDJ had spoken about what would happen post Avengers: Endgame. The Oscar-nominated actor stated that he would no like to overstay his welcome in the MCU. "We had the opportunity to give him the perfect retirement life, within the movie. It’s a good death. It doesn’t feel like a tragedy. It feels like a heroic, finished life," Avengers: Endgame co-writer Christopher Markus said in a recent interview.

Avengers: Endgame has created a storm at the box office and has minted more than Rs 300 crore in less than 10 days. It has also dethroned Titanic at the worldwide box office and is soon expected to crush Avatar which is the highest grossing film globally so far.
