Avengers: Endgame was a bittersweet culmination of a decade-long journey for the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) fans. We laughed, we cried, we cheered and we felt the after-effects hit us hard. However, speaking of the funny moments, Avengers: Endgame had aplenty! One of the most poignant sequences that had us laughing out loud was spearheaded by Ant-Man. During Captain America: Civil War (2017), we were made aware of Scott Lang's admiration for Steve Rogers. Similarly, in Avengers: Endgame, we saw the same admiration when Iron Man, The Hulk, Cap and Ant-Man travelled back in time to 2012.

Specifically, it was at the New York battle which saw The Avengers assembled for the first time battling Loki and the Chitauri army. In order to retrieve the Space Stone aka The Tesseract, the foursome end up at Stark Tower, where Loki was captured. When looking at Cap, Tony questioned how Steve's old uniform did not do justice to his buff physique. In response, Scott complimented Rogers butt stating that it was "America's ass." Later, we see Steve complimenting himself the way Lang did when 2023 Cap has to square off with 2012 Cap. However, did you know that the line was initially scrapped from Avengers: Endgame.

"We’re like, ‘Is it funny? I don’t know, let’s try it in the next test screening,’ because we screen all of our movies multiple times for audiences. And it killed, it killed instantly, without question. And it stayed in the movie," Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios had revealed to CBR regarding the 'America's Ass' dialogue. It was executive producer Louis D'Esposito who reminded everyone of the line and hence, it was decided to be put back on.

They also questioned if it was in Steve Rogers' personality that he would quip such a comment. "And the thought was, yes, it works, and the audience likes it," Kevin added.

We agree as well because there was definitely tremendous character development in Captain America, from 2012 to 2023.
